World exclusive image of Tom Hardy as Bane in The Dark Knight Rises
The Dark Knight Rises is, hands down, the most anticipated film of the year. So it’s fitting that the film’s incendiary anarchist should help kick off our very own revolution…

I respectfully disagree that The Dark Knight Rises is, hands down, the most anticipated film of the year. Personally, the most anticipated film of the year that edges out The Dark Knight Rises is Prometheus.

Se7en is one of my top 10 favorite movies of all time. I believe this is the scene in the apartment of Kevin Spacey’s character that they see the photos he took of Mills at the “Sloth” scene.

The Expendables 2

—> For all of us 80’s action hero fans when the first Expendables movie came out two years ago it was a dream come true. It was hard to believe that all of those action heroes along with the more recent action stars like Jet Li and Jason Statham could all be on the big screen together at one time. I mean didn’t you just get chills when Sylvester Stallone, Bruce Willis and Arnold Schwarzenegger were in the same scene interacting with each other.

Now in the next installment they go back to the 80’s and include Chuck Norris and Jean Claude Van Damme. The only other big star they haven’t included yet is Steven Seagal. Perhaps in the third Expendables, if it happens, he will be included. There is no doubt I will be there opening night to experience The Expendables 2 on the big screen. Get your popcorn ready!

Killer Joe

—> Hats off to the designers of the movie poster on this NC-17 comedy from William Friedkin. I’m not a big fan of fried chicken but it made me want to watch the trailer. I have to say after watching the trailer I am pretty excited about this film. It has several of my favorite actors such as Matthew McConaughey and the lovely Gina Gershon. For the sheer fact of it being NC-17 I will definitely see this in the theater. The tagline alone is enough to get me there. I mean who wouldn’t want to see a totally twisted deep-fried Texas redneck trailer park murder mystery?

Sanctum

—> Anytime you see a movie that is produced or directed by James Cameron people will watch. It’s that simple. Obviously out of the gate James Cameron brings credibility to this film because of his name. On top of that, anytime you are dealing with tight spaces that involves water where oxygen is at a premium you will give it serious consideration and lay down $10 to see this film. I know I will. Ha! If that wasn’t enough it was made for 3D. One of the few films I will watch in 3D at the theater because I know James Cameron will do it right and not just to make extra money. Hello Hollywood!!! Are you taking notes on what I am saying here?

Stepping into the Fire

Thanks to one of my followers for submitting this trailer for my viewing pleasure. Unfortunately, where I live we see very few documentary films make it to the big screen. It was very interesting but I will have to wait until it comes out on DVD. Enjoy and be sure to check back and let me know what you guys think.

A true story, “STEPPING INTO THE FIRE” is the telling of one man’s mission to expose an Ancient medical secret to the modern world.

After accidently discovering the ancient plant-medicines Ayahuasca and San Pedro, successful investment banker Roberto Velez has committed millions of his own dollars to create a non-profit Shamanic healing retreat and treatment center in the far flung jungles of South America.

From around the world, followers have flocked to study the ways of Master Shaman Jose Manuel Pineda Vargas (Moncoluto) and to partake of the rare medicines and their healing powers.

Tornado Alley

—> When I first saw this trailer I was so excited for my 7 year old nephew who is totally into tornadoes. He is going to love this. Who better else to narrate the trailer than Bill “The Extreme” Paxton who made tornadoes famous in Twister. There is no doubt my nephew Michael will be a future Storm Chaser after seeing Tornado Alley. Definitely one of the most anticipated films to see on the big screen this year.
